This explains what personal data Island Hop Greece collects on islandhopgreece.com, why, and what your rights are.
Who we are
Island Hop Greece is operated by Eclipse Retreats G.P., Vernis 13, Rhodes, Greece(VAT EL802567420), which is the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact us at info@islandhopgreece.com, through WhatsApp, or by replying to any email from us.
What we collect and why
- Your email address, when you request the free guide or ask for your quiz results by email. We use it to send what you asked for. If you tick the box to hear from us, we also send the follow-up emails and occasional Greece travel tips. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Your quiz answers, to work out and email your three islands. They are not tied to your identity unless you ask for the email.
- Your purchase. Payment is handled by Paddle, who collects your name, email, country and payment details to take payment, issue your receipt and handle tax. We receive your name, email and order details so we can deliver your guide. The legal basis is performing our contract with you.
- Basic technical data such as your IP address, kept briefly in server logs and used to keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of providers to run the site:
- Paddle, for payments, tax and receipts. Paddle is the merchant of record and also acts as its own controller for payment data. See Paddle's privacy notice.
- Brevo, to manage our email list and send our emails, including your guide download link, your quiz results and our newsletter.
- Our hosting provider, to run the website.
Some of these providers are based outside the EU or UK. Where they are, transfers rely on approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Paddle's checkout may set cookies it needs to take payment and prevent fraud.
How long we keep it
Email list data is kept until you unsubscribe. Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to your local data protection authority; in Greece that is the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page. It was last updated in 2026.
